The outermost island of the Abaco chain, and one of the smallest, Walker's Cay is an easy 45-minute flight from Fort Lauderdale. It is exclusive, yet an old-fashioned informality prevails. The crowd is always small. Only 62 hotel rooms and 4 villas are available on the whole island. LOCATION: Lush 100-acre tropical island at the Top of the Bahamas. 140 miles NE of Fort Lauderdale and 45 NE of Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.

HOTEL: 62 Air-conditioned rooms all with private bath and terrace located on one of the highest points of the island.

AIRCRAFT: 2500-foot airstrip. Tie downs are free. Non-directional beacon operated on frequency 280 kHzZWC Island monitors UNICOM (122.8 MHz)

LAUNDRY SERVICE: Available – inquire at Front Desk.

DRESS: Elegantly casual in dining room.

CREDIT CARDS: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. Personal checks are not accepted on island. ALL ACOUNTS PAYABLE UPON DEPARTURE.

CUSTOMS: Clearance available seven days a week at Walker's Cay. Immigration requires proof of citizenship, passport or notarized birth certificate with picture identification. Non-US citizens must have passports or green cards. Overtime charges may apply.

FACILITIES: Conch Pearl Dining Room serving breakfast and dinner daily. Captain Walker's Lounge for cocktails. Lobster Trap Restaurant and Lounge serving lunch and cocktails daily (with pool tables and drinks for lunch and evenings). Patio bar, Gift shop and card room.

SPORTS: All weather tennis court, volleyball, sport court, salt and freshwater pools with Jacuzzi, shuffleboard and Ping-Pong.

FISHING: Finest offshore fishing in The Bahamas just five minutes from the full-service 75-slip marina. Blue and white marlin and sailfish abound along with other game and reef fish. Bonefishing is excellent.

TRANSPORTATION: Scheduled air service is provided by Chalk's Ocean Airways daily except Tuesday. Flights depart from the commuter area, lower level Terminal Four, Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

MEETINGS: Meeting rooms are air conditioned; audio visual equipment available.

DIVING: Our full service dive shop offers 2 to 3 trips a day for snorkelers and divers alike. The variety of dive sites here is unparalleled in The Bahamas. Reefs, wrecks, caves, and canyons. Don't miss the famous Shark Rodeo.
